But it wasn’t always thus: these lands were home to the Etruscans and Romans, to noblemen and subjects of the Florentine Republic, a melting pot of history and stories that have left an important mark, surviving the centuries sometimes intact, sometimes like the echoes of a past that has never been forgotten.
